I figure I should do a quick RL update, so here goes.

Lease isn't being renewed, so me and Krystal have about a month to get a new place, pay bond and pay double rent before it runs out and we can get our original bond back. In the middle of a housing shortage too, oh joy :P So we're looking at maybe getting a place in Glenelg, near the beach. Prices are alright around there, and I figure the change in atmosphere might do me good. I've been far too maudlin lately, and I hate emoposting, thus no updates.

Um... work sucks. The band's kind of sludging along and not practicing much 'cause work was busting my balls and now everyone's all sick and shit. So I'm trying to knuckle down with recording my solo stuff, working on getting The Absolutely Awesome Guitar Tone and finishing up drum loops and stuff. Moving'll probably delay that even further though.

However, there is a massive ray of light.

Guess who's crawling back to lj?

Even though I haven't posted for months, nevertheless, I'm joining the exodus.

Now, the thing is, I support the bans to a small extent. A lot of fandom content does cross the line into illegality, no questions about it. However, the way SixApart has gone about dealing with the problem fails hardcore, because they disregarded their own policies, did not give users fair warning in order to rectify the problems, and also applied the bans in an uneven, unfair manner (for instance, SA/LJ's lack of action against child abuse comms, pro-ana groups, etc).

So yeah, I'm off to GJ. Just like during the Great LJ Blackout. I'm not a big fan of censorship and I'm not a fan of organisations refusing to look at their own policies in a logical manner.

So here I am. Any of you happen to have a GJ, add me back, k? I'm gonna miss you lot.

Remember my old band, Anhedonia? The one that ceased existing when I left Tasmania? Well, the other three members started a new band called Hyperdonia. They've got a few rough recordings from a jam session now, so you guys should check them out, they're awesome.

They're an instrumental Pink-Floyd-meets-Django-Reinhardt psychodelia band and they're fucking awesome. The recordings are up on their myspace, found here, and are definitely worth a look.
